Hello again friend!
I have been chatting with many of you about what you are focusing on this month, and I know it is all about growth mindsets AND college and career readiness!
Students struggle with the task of maintaining a growth mindset throughout the school year and especially at the beginning of the school year as they are adjusting to life in a new grade / level and creating new relationships.
The student struggles
I know you hear in the hallways…
I can’t.
I don’t know how.
This is too hard.
My students in particular are mostly first-generation college students, so believing that they belong in college and that they can succeed in college is always a topic we chat about.
I try to teach my students to check in with themselves periodically to see how they are doing. This resource I created is PERFECT for them to scale where their progress is AND a perfect starting point for conversations of how to improve.
